The original pool at the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center was built in the late 1960s. Since that time, the fitness center has expanded to include additional pools and fitness areas. However, as the years have passed, the original pool has aged and become unsafe for use. Because of this, the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center hired Zwick Construction and MHTN Architects to demolish the pool and replace it with several pickleball courts and tennis courts. 

A design-build project, this redevelopment requires an intensive design and preconstruction phase, which will especially take demolition strategies into consideration. The surrounding pools will remain in operation during construction. 

This project began construction in fall 2025.
