When a former client came asking if Zwick Construction would be willing to make any contributions for underprivileged children, a general superintendent and IT manager had the perfect solution—27 lightly-used computers that Zwick no longer employs.
After receiving these computers from Zwick, Assistant General Manager Sheralyn Hopkinson of WorldMark Miners Club and Club Wyndham Park City Resorts sent 15 of them to the Joe R. Lee Brand of the Boys and Girls Club in Eatonville, FL. The other computers are currently being sent to Bali, Indonesia.
"Donating these computers was a great way for Zwick Construction to give back. The children in these third-world countries just melt over the opportunity to learn on and use the computers that we no longer have a need for.”
These computers will play a vital role in helping these young children learn and develop professional skills, including typing and writing. The children were ecstatic to receive the charitable contribution.
Building a positive work culture includes much more than just work—we’re grateful to be able to give back to our community through contributions like these computers and more. Thanks to Darin Zwick for this opportunity to give back!
