Lone Peak Concludes

Congratulations to the Draper, UT Zwick Construction team who turned over the Lone Peak Parkway Office in February. This impressive office building has become the home to two—soon to be three—businesses and represents a combined, coordinated effort from the team in making the project come to life.

Congratulations to the Draper, UT Zwick Construction team who turned over the Lone Peak Parkway Office in February. This impressive office building has become the home to two—soon to be three—businesses and represents a combined, coordinated effort from the team in making the project come to life.

Originally, the Lone Peak Parkway property and plans were owned by an engineering firm. Eventually, that lot and the plans were sold to two business owners and friends who decided to move forward with construction. Zwick Construction’s initial scope only included the core and shell, but later included the tenant improvement scope within the building. While the plans stayed the same, the owners added beautiful features to the interior.

Constructed of steel with precast concrete, glass, and ACM panels, this 25,000 SF building features high-end finishes including 4x4-foot tiles on the floors, unique light fixtures, and custom cabinetry. Spanning all three stories is a granite motif, found on countertops and tabletops, staircases, and walls. The office holds several conference rooms, offices, workrooms, breakrooms, and a top-floor balcony.

The granite scattered throughout the building proved a challenge to install. The project was nearly complete when the granite was delivered, which required the team to pass these 2,000-pound slabs through the top-floor balcony doors. This process required careful implementation to protect the existing glass guard rails and features.

That same thorough implementation by the project team was demonstrated throughout the duration of the project. As the superintendent explained, “This team was great project. Partnering with a great architect, Gould+, on this project, we were able to work together to produce such a notable project.”

Even with challenges in turning over the project, the team worked quickly and efficiently through final punchlists to bring this project to the finish line.

Guided by our core values, Zwick Construction delivers impressive projects of all kinds in many industries.
