A Project Update: Slate Apartments

The Salt Lake City team working on the Slate Apartments just hit their three-month mark on the project.

Currently, they are working on the footings in preparation for concrete pours in the coming weeks. They have also been continuing with earthwork throughout the site.

Moving forward, the team anticipates erecting a tower crane in early autumn to service the crews, especially with framing estimated to begin around then.

The Salt Lake City team working on the Slate Apartments just hit their three-month mark on the project, and they have been making great progress.

The Slate Apartments will be a four-level building with one underground level parking garage. Level one will hold two commercial spaces facing toward 900 South, one of the busiest streets in Salt Lake City, and feature residential amenities, like a mailroom, leasing office, and storage space. Residents will enjoy a large courtyard, spa, fitness room, sauna, and clubhouse on the second floor. The remaining structure consists of 150- studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom apartments. The exterior of the Slate will be comprised of brick with shiplap. Each unit will have its own balcony.

Even early into the project, the team faces challenges surrounding the tight site; the building will take up the whole footprint. Additionally, there is an existing structure that will be surrounded by the Slate on three sides, within inches of the new project. The team has been mindful of and has prepared for these challenges.
