To provide employees with the safest PPE technology, Zwick Construction is offering KASK helmets to every employee. This is a major statement to our partners, subcontractors, and clients that Zwick prioritizes the safety of their employees over everything else in our business.
Originally designed for extreme sports, the KASK helmet uses the best technologies to keep the wearer safe. KASK was the first to introduce high-density polystyrene interiors that is not only extremely comfortable but also protects the whole head. These helmets exceed global safety standards. Most important, the chinstrap ensures that the helmet stays on the head, regardless of the incident.
Our Director of HSE explained, “In 2016, 400 deaths occurred due to a fall. 25% of those were due to traumatic brain injury. These helmets will keep us safer—we know that. It does it by ensuring that the helmet stays on your head. In the case of a fall, the hard hat is the first thing to leave your body. Instead, this helmet provides excellent impact protection.”
Helmets with chin straps have been used in construction for more than 10 years. By moving away from the traditional hard hat, Zwick shows its commitment to safety and industry standards.

Although employees may choose to take the KASK helmet or a traditional hard hat, all Zwick employees will be issued new PPE to maintain a consistent look across the company.
