Mark Bateman
Chief Financial Officer
Mark’s accounting career in the construction industry began in 1988 when he worked as an auditor for a local CPA firm performing audits on several construction firms. His responsibilities included management of the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, financial statements preparation, third-party audits, and payroll and employee benefits. He also assisted the many job cost accountants in their specific accounting duties.
Mark has extensive experience working with special projects. He was responsible for the accounting and financial statements during the construction of the Legacy Constructors’ joint venture of the Conference Center. He also provided accounting services for the joint venture agreement with Impulsa SA on the construction of eight temples. These projects represent a small handful of the work Mark has completed for clients.
As the CFO, Mark’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the company financial statements from preparation to completion, managing company pay-roll, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and developing working relationships with bonding agents, bankers and insurance brokers to benefit the company, reduce costs, manage risk, and ensure an honest, trusted partnership is maintained.
Mark worked as the controller at Okland Construction and the chief financial officer at Sahara Construction before coming to Zwick.
