Today we celebrated the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Unified Fire Authority’s new fire station – Taylorsville Station 117.
The event included traditional ceremonies for opening a new firehouse, including the retiring of the previous station flag, washing an engine and pushing it onto its new bay. The UFA’s bagpipe band accompanied the march of the color guard as they ceremoniously walked around the building and posted the new flag on Station 117.
