Welcome to Utah, Chicken Salad Chick!

Notwithstanding the unusual weather in the Wasatch Front recently, Utah became a bit more southern after welcoming its first Chicken Salad Chick in mid-June. Completed by Zwick’s Tenant Improvement and Special Projects Division, this build-out represents problem solving, teamwork, and proactive management by each member of the team.

This Chicken Salad Chick is located in Pleasant Grove, UT. Just under 3,000 SF, the restaurant includes ample seating, an ordering counter, and large kitchen. Specially branded with bright greens and reds, this location echoes southern charm and hospitality.

That charm was evident at their grand opening on June 9th—around 20,000 customers (including a handful from Zwick) showed up to enjoy the delicious chicken salad menu.

Chicken salad may be on the menu, but a shortened construction schedule wasn’t, originally. The Zwick TI team was contracted to complete the project by August 4th; however, the owner informed the team that the grand opening had already been scheduled for two months earlier. To meet this schedule, they came up with creative solutions and hired trade partners who could mobilize quickly. For example, since the team wasn’t able to track down a carpenter who could meet this deadline, the team completed this scope personally.
