Updates from the Stack

About six months from completion, The Stack at Brickyard is making great progress. Currently, the Salt Lake City Zwick Construction team is nearing completion of phase one of the project. They are installing flooring and countertops in each apartment. Phase two is a few months behind phase one. In this portion of the building, teams are working on drywall and completing four-way inspections. They are also working on retaining walls and exterior site work.

About six months from completion, The Stack at Brickyard is making great progress.

At its completion, The Stack at Brickyard will feature 254 high-end apartment units. Residents will have access to a golf simulator, dog park and dog wash, outdoor BBQ area, firepit, and pool—large enough for swim lanes. The front portion of the building has a sky deck. The 400,000 SF property is five stories with two underground parking levels.

Since the groundbreaking in July 2020, the team has faced some unique challenges with the design and construction of the building. The front side of the building follows the curvature of the adjacent road, rather than a straight line.

The Stack at Brickyard is located adjacent to the iconic Smith Kiln Chimney smoke stack, constructed in 1902. The bricks produced by the stack were used in the homes, churches, and businesses of early Utah residents. At the beginning of the construction of The Stack, the project team had to remove thousands of bricks from the property.
