A couple months after the completion of the first phase of the Meadow Peak Medical Center in Taylorsville, UT, Zwick Construction will officially deliver the final two phases of the building in July 2021, awaiting some final city and health department comments.
The large facility acts as the medical, skilled nursing, and memory care center for the residents of the Summit Vista Community, a massive Zwick Construction-Okland Construction project and the largest senior community in Utah. Phases two and three of this project surrounded the assisted living units on the second and third levels.
Throughout the entire building, the Meadow Peak Medical Center includes a skilled nursing center, salon, theater, commercial kitchen, courtyards and dry river, physical therapy center, and hundreds of memory care units. The architects of the project designed the building uniquely to make it feel less institutional. For example, nursing stations are not found in the building; rather there are large, open areas for patients to interact with their nurses.
In total, the building is 70,000 SF. It was completed on an accelerated schedule; the entire project was completed in just over a year, having broken ground in February 2020.
Congratulations to the team for their dedication in delivering this impressive project to Summit Vista!
