In Honor of Kathy Tolboe

The Core Value Award is Zwick Construction’s most prestigious award, given to one employee per year who exemplifies passion, integrity, and teamwork. We are excited to announce that Kathy Tolboe was selected the recipient of the 2024 Core Value Award.

Kathy has been a project administrator at Zwick Construction for nearly seven years. During that time, she has worked on several projects of varying size and difficulty. Through it all, she has remained optimistic, helpful, and kind. Always an advocate for her teams and trade partners, Kathy is a great asset to Zwick Construction.

As President Darin Zwick explained, “Because Kathy treats our trade partners in such a professional way, it makes them want to work for us. And I believe we get better service and better pricing from them because of her. She has done an incredible job.”

Over the years, Kathy has worked on many jobs, most notably American Fork 860, Peak JCB, Williams International, Camber, Lewis Landing, and more. She is currently working on a handful more.

Kathy is known for her warmth and kindness, while never sacrificing her integrity. She is willing to drop anything to help anyone–which has rightfully earned her the title “second mom” by many of her colleagues. She is loyal, giving, and honest.

We’re so grateful that we have Kathy here at Zwick because she makes us better. She not only makes each of us better, she makes the entire company better. I just can’t thank her enough for all she does for me and for this company.

As a general superintendent explained, “Every time I come to the office, Kathy is there to greet me with a smile and quick story, and it brightens my day. When it was time to give nominations for this award, Kathy’s name popped into my mind, and I think she’s the perfect example of our core values. Everyone appreciates the way she handles herself, especially with trade partners.”
