Zwick Construction & the Future Workforce

It’s no secret that there’s a labor shortage in the construction industry, which is why we are actively helping to train and recruit more entrants to the field.

On June 22-23, some of our BYU and BYU-Idaho alumni headed up to Rexburg, ID to participate in BYU-Idaho’s Construction Management career fair. The first day of the fair included info-sessions and networking.

On the second day of the event, students had the opportunity to participate in a golf tournament with an employer of their choice. The Zwick Construction team won the scramble with a score of four under par. These students were not only great golfers, though—they demonstrated impressive ambition and passion for construction.

On June 22-23, some of our BYU and BYU-Idaho alumni headed up to Rexburg, ID to participate in BYU-Idaho’s Construction Management career fair.

The following week, several of those same students stopped by the Salt Lake City office to get more information about Zwick Construction.

Meanwhile, we have welcomed several interns to our teams. Even in the short time they have been at Zwick, they have become great assets to their teams.

Our internship program is designed specifically to ensure that our interns receive hands-on experience. Throughout their time at Zwick, interns participate in estimating, field work, and BIM. They visit several sites as they learn about different project types.

Between the students we’ve interacted with at BYU-Idaho and several other universities across the West and our talented interns, we know the future of construction is bright with these new entrants to the field at the forefront.

Guided by our core values, Zwick Construction delivers impressive projects of all kinds in many industries.
