The fourth project completed by Zwick Construction for Deseret First Credit Union, the West Point Branch officially opened for business on July 18th. Congratulations to the team on a timely and quality delivery.
This branch was designed especially to have increased visibility both inside and out. Each office has floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and large windows cover most of the exterior. This design brings in natural light and makes the building feel open, modern, and clean. The exterior is comprised of masonry and ACM panels.
The branch also makes use of state-of-the-art technology. As members walk into the branch, a large LED reader board gives information about the branch and upcoming events.
As with most projects in Utah, construction was delayed due to a long, intense winter. At one point, the site was covered in three feet of mud. The owner encouraged the team and our trade partners to hold off on construction until the conditions were more ideal. Even with this delay, the project was delivered a week earlier than originally scheduled. Accordingly, the grand opening event was held on July 29th, a week after its soft opening. In total the project took ten months to complete.
Zwick Construction has enjoyed working with Deseret First Credit Union in the past and looks forward to more projects with them in the future.
