As commuters drive down the interstate freeway outside Salt Lake City, they have a clear view of Zwick Construction’s newest completed project, Bowers Residences. This project represents an important step in the South Salt Lake revitalization effort and an incredible success for the company.
The concrete podium structure was originally awarded to a different general contractor. Following that completion, the project came to a halt until it was finally awarded to Zwick.
Even with setbacks and industry challenges, the team delivered this 236-unit project to the owners last month. Bowers features a two-story gym (with climbing wall, yoga center, weights, and various machines), leasing office, mezzanine, sports lounge, community lounge with a folding glass door to a terrace, retail space, and a fifth-floor courtyard with a fire table, spa, and barbecues. This eight-story building consists of a 90% metal paneling exterior paired with a masonry facade. The parking garage, which is shared by a neighboring office building, is four stories.
