Zwick Construction is pleased to announce that the Marriott Advenire Hotel was selected as the “2020 Most Outstanding Project” in the hospitality/resort category by the Utah Construction & Design Magazine. The project was delivered in December 2019 with an opening in February 2020.
The Advenire Hotel is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, a chain which is comprised of unique, boutique, and locally-inspired hotels. The interior design of the Advenire Hotel has been described as “pioneer chic,” taking inspiration from the simple homesteaders’ dwellings and lifestyle of southern Utah’s early western settlers.
In the nearly 40,000 SF space, the hotel has 60 rooms, each uniquely decorated. The top floor of the building has an outdoor guest terrace with a large hot tub and two private cabanas. It also features a lobby, bar, restaurant, and fitness room.
Due to the exceptional design of the project, only the highest quality work was used in the building of the Advenire. The Zwick team had to ensure that every worker on the job took ownership of the project. For example, throughout many phases of construction, subcontractors would work in the same areas where other parts of the project were completed previously. This required them to be mindful of that finished work so it would not be damaged or affected by their work.
At the building’s completion, high quality features were found throughout, including multi-piece wainscoting, crown molding, wallpaper, mosaic-like tile floors, reclaimed wood, and more– an impressive execution considering the relatively remote location of the hotel.
