As summer approaches and temperatures start to warm up, it seems an appropriate time to highlight Arcadia’s Clubhouse and Pool built by Zwick Construction.
The Arcadia Vacation Clubhouse and Pool is a well-loved amenity of the Arcadia Village in Santa Clara, UT. Zwick Construction completed the project a little over a year ago, just in time for the warm summer in Southern Utah. This unique project included a large community center that has a kitchen, modeled after Chili’s restaurant, service area, a spacious workout facility, game rooms, and meeting rooms for gatherings. The pinnacle of the property is the pool and lazy river. As Superintendent Mitch Berger explained, there are three waterfalls throughout the area, along with a 285-foot lazy river, making it the largest lazy river in Southern Utah. The property also has two spas and several slides. Surrounding the area is faux red rock that reflects the nearby geography. While Mitch expressed that the project was fun to work on, it also presented some challenges. The property was designed to spread over three levels: one for the pool, one for the spa, and one for the slides. In order to make this happen, the team ended up using eight-miles of rebar. Even with the unique challenges, the project team was able to deliver the project and please the owners with the results.
