Congratulations to our Lindon Utah team for receiving the 2022 Safe Project of the Year Award! This is a major accomplishment that requires consistent dedication to enforcing and maintaining safe practices on a jobsite.
To be eligible for the annual Safe Project of the Year Award, a team must receive the highest average score on their monthly safety audit conducted by our Director of HSE. During the audit, both positive and negative safety practices are noted, including fall protection, PPE, fire safety, heat illness protection, and more. The points are totaled, giving an overall score. The Lindon team received a yearly average of 97%—an impressive score that reflects their dedication to preserving a safe site.
Our Director of HSE explained, “Everyday our project teams are faced with the many different challenges of putting work in place, along with the added challenge of doing it safely. The Lindon team has committed to maintaining Zwick’s safety culture. Congratulations on behalf of everyone at Zwick Construction! This team has set the bar in regard to safety.”
“I want to express my gratitude to the Lindon Temple team for their commitment to safety. I’m proud of each of them. It’s so important that we take safety seriously– it’s an essential part of our business.” Darin Zwick, President & CEO
With a project as large as this, covering twelve acres, safe practices are required at all times. The field team frequently walks the site to monitor and correct any unsafe practices.
The superintendent said, “More than anything we want everyone to be safe, so we set a precedence to subs that they need to be safe. We will not let them get away with the little things; they know that from day one. They are aware that we want them to be safe, and they appreciate our commitment to safety.”
For that commitment, the team is very deserving of this award. Each team member received a Carhartt jacket with an embroidered insignia of the award.
