Colton oversees all things business insurance, claims, legal, and safety. Being involved with legal and claims gives Colton a unique perspective on insurance strategies. Likewise, managing claims provides valuable insight into negotiating contract terms.

As the Director of Risk Management, Colton identifies and manages insurable liabilities, including working with brokers to ensure Zwick is adequately covered by policies, general liability, umbrella, OCIP or CCIP, professional/pollution liability, auto liability, inland marine, workers compensation, builder’s risk, and miscellaneous (EPLI and international). He also identifies and manages self-insurance, oversees the HSE department, manages insurance claims and legal proceedings, manages prime contract terms and negotiation, subcontract, PO, service agreement templates, oversees subcontractor prequalification process and bonding, and consults the operations teams on notices to other parties.

Colton began his time at Zwick Construction as an estimator, then moved to Risk Management following five years of preconstruction. He has a passion for his work and values integrity both within the company and outside.

Prior to his time at Zwick Construction, Colton worked at Clark Construction as an office and project engineer.
