BYU HIGH TEMPERATURE
TUNNELS PHASE 5B
PROVO, UT: BYU HIGH TEMPERATURE TUNNELS PHASE 5B
OWNER: Brigham Young University
ARCHITECT: Heath Engineering
The contract included the excavation and construction of new, underground concrete tunnel structures to house high-temperature water lines at Brigham Young University.
This phase allowed for the relocation and extension of new lines. The execution required the use of sheet pile shoring on 100% of the excavation.
This project was completed on one of the largest university campuses in the state and required substantial coordination with the owner to maintain an operational campus. This included a precise safety plan, pedestrian and vehicular traffic control, and site cleanliness.
