TECHNOLOGY AT ZWICK
ZWICK'S USE OF TECHNOLOGY
At Zwick Construction, we strive to stay at the forefront of the industry by using the best technologies. This helps us provide the highest quality and most efficient projects to owners. Employees are trained frequently on the use of these technologies and those technologies are applied to all projects.
BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM)
When needed, we utilize Building Information Modeling extensively throughout all phases of construction. We combine this powerful visualization technology with industry-leading talent to generate several advantages for the project:
BIM substantially reduces the amount of rework required on a project, by identifying potential issues before the building is even constructed.
BIM has revolutionized the construction industry by shaving 10-40% from traditional completion schedules. The process almost certainly will save significant amounts of time on the project.
BIM can identify problems long before they can adversely affect project budget or schedule. One primary use of BIM is for collision detection, allowing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers and subcontractors to ensure no piping will intersect with each other or with structural elements of the building.
BIM technology allows the owner, architect, and Zwick personnel to communicate visually, eliminating nearly any design surprise. It also increases communication between the subcontractors and management team by visually establishing scope and requirements.
