Zwick began construction on this award-winning fire station in June 2016, after an effective preconstruction phase to bring the project within budget. The fire station was completed in February 2018.


This new structure is located in an industrial area of Salt Lake’s west side and will serve the unique needs of protecting manufacturing and industrial businesses, as well as providing back-up coverage for Salt Lake International Airport and the Downtown area.


The energy efficient building is built to the city’s net-zero energy standards and features four apparatus bays, living quarters and public spaces. It is the first Net-Zero Energy fire station in the country.
