The Core Value Award is Zwick Construction’s most prestigious award, given to one employee per year who exemplifies passion, integrity, and teamwork. We are excited to announce that Mitch Berger was selected the recipient of the 2022 Core Value Award.
Mitch has been a superintendent at Zwick Construction for six years. During that time, he has worked on some of Zwick’s most difficult and large projects, some of which required him to travel long distances. Even still, he willingly volunteered and pushed the projects successfully to completion.
Over the years, Mitch delivered Wyndham WorldMark Moab, UTU’s Education Building, BYU’s Clyde Engineering Building, CaptiveAire Systems, Iron County Courthouse, Arcadia Clubhouse and Pools, St. George Courthouse, and many more.
Mitch is known for his honest, clear communication. Because of that, many of the owners he has worked with have requested to have him on future projects.
As President Darin Zwick said, “It seems like every project Mitch is involved in goes well, and every owner he’s worked with wants him to build their next project. That’s because they trust him; he does what he says he’s going to do. That’s how he’s been able to build these intense customer relationships of trust and loyalty. Mitch has brought more work to the company because of that quality.”
Since the very beginning, Mitch has been a champion of the brand. For example, as Darin explained, Mitch plastered an additional z on the hood of his truck.
Along with his honesty and passion, Mitch is a builder of people.
Darin continued, “Everybody around Mitch loves to work with him—I think that’s because he builds everybody. He helps everybody be better, and he’s always so willing to do whatever it takes for Zwick Construction.”
Because of his commitment to living our core values, Mitch is very deserving of this award—congratulations, Mitch!
Recipients of the Core Value Award are nominated by their peers, then ultimately selected by the executive committee. The award is given to acknowledge the relentless, extraordinary efforts of employees who have been at Zwick Construction for several years.
