Salt Lake City Office Drills for the Big One

Each April, thousands of people in Utah participate in “The Great Utah ShakeOut,” a day dedicated to preparing for and learning about earthquakes. Many Utah businesses and organizations use this day to review emergency preparedness.

The Salt Lake City Office also participated in the event. On Monday during their Core Value Meeting, Director of HSE taught the proper procedures for earthquake safety, including best places to cover, muster points, and building exits. Then the following Monday, they participated in an earthquake drill.

Earthquakes are prevalent not only in Northern Utah but also throughout most parts of California and Southern Utah. In coming weeks, similar drills and safety plans will be shared in the other Zwick offices and project locations.
